This February, the Hex-a-Long brings crocheters together for a 4-week Make & Do Crew community crochet-along featuring our hexagon-based cardigans, hoodies, and sweaters.

You don’t need garment experience to join. These patterns are designed to be approachable, with the flexibility to check and adjust the fit as you go, so you can crochet with confidence from the very first stitch.

What pattern will we crochet?

To participate, you can choose from any of our patterns made from two hexagons. We'll all work on our projects by first crocheting the hexagons, pinning them together to tweak the fit, then wrapping up with finishing details.

Do I have to be available at a certain time?

Nope! The Hex-a-Long is a casual community event you can join in on at your own pace. You'll receive two email lessons each week that include tips for the section of the pattern we're working on. Then pop into the community to see everyone's latest updates whenever you have time.

When does the crochet along start?

The Hex-a-Long runs from Feb 1- Feb 28, 2026. Even if this is a busy season of life for you, we encourage you to enroll and follow along at whatever pace works for you.

What if I fall behind?

The point of this crochet along is to make something fun, NOT to feel stressed! If you fall behind, it's not a big deal. You'll always have access to all the email lessons and community to return to when you're ready.

How much does it cost?

What if I'm a beginner?

As long as you have some basic crochet skills, you should be able to enjoy this process--and learn a lot along the way! You do NOT need to have crocheted a garment before. In fact, the Hex-a-Long patterns are ideal for garment newbies because you can try them on and adjust the fit as you go.

Plus, you'll have access to our supportive community to get help along the way.

Are there video tutorials?

Yes! Most of our hexagon-based patterns include step-by-step video tutorials. If you're new to crocheting garments, we recommend choosing one of the patterns that includes video or following along with our No-Fail Garments course.
